Meet the artist

Phillip Anthony is a contemporary artist and founder of PA Art House. Largely self-taught, Anthony works primarily in oil, moving between abstraction and recognizable form.

Anthony’s introduction to painting happened by chance. While working in a client’s home, he saw the homeowner painting in his garage and asked if he could try. He spent the next seven hours creating Arizona, his first painting.

His work often explores time, perspective, and memory, particularly the way experiences can shift and take on new meaning as time passes.

Long before he began painting, Anthony developed a deep relationship with imagination through stories, music, and spoken word, learning to create worlds beyond what was directly in front of him.

Today, Anthony lives and works in Florida. His work continues beyond the canvas through objects, scent, and experiences, while painting remains at the center of it all.
